New Spotify Playlist: Namastache Yoga Train VI

Instructions for using this newest Namstache Yoga Playlist on Spotify:

Step 1: Hit play.
Step 2: Starting in tabletop and connecting breath with movement, allow yourself to slowly explore how your body experiences movement to the dulcet tones of B.B. King jamming with Brubeck. Spend time in child’s pose or in virasana. Breathe deeply. It’s all good.
Step 3: Find yourself standing at the front of the mat by the time the music changes
Step 4: Take a deep breath
Step 5: Yoga.

This particular playlist is pretty chill, all things considered. Don’t let that stop you if you’re feeling fiery, however– there is nothing wrong with moving quickly with controlled intention.

I’m loving James Blake these days. Consider “Life Round Here” a wonderful spot to start going deep into your standing poses.

Take Phantogram’s “Don’t Move” with a grain of salt, and enjoy the act of following your breath to arrive into whatever postures you’re playing with at the time.

By the time “Whispering” by Alex Clare comes on, consider moving into the wind-down phase of your practice. That could start with some inversions, and end with a backbend or three.

Enjoy, in JOY.
